The first thing I do each morning is check my horoscope. Frequently, it gives me a mantra to focus on during my day. I am guilty of relying on my horoscope more than the average person. I heed the advice it offers. This morning I read my daily horoscope and then quickly jumped to my weekly horoscope. (The wonders of modern technology that I can do all this while I’m still snuggled up in bed!) Here’s what part of my weekly horoscope said…

Sunday is the highlight of the week, so put the Veuve on ice.The annual full moon in Taurus lights up the skies then, putting you squarely in the spotlight. Your personal growth of the last six months (since the corresponding solar eclipse in Taurus on May 9) is worthy of celebration. (Go check yours out at AstroTwins!)

As I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, I tried to think about what I did six months ago and I realized that was when I published my first book, Tripped Up Love! The last six months has changed my life in extraordinary ways. The biggest being I turned one of my dreams into a reality. Putting a piece of my heart out there for public consumption has been difficult at times, like when I got my first negative review. But the overall response from readers and reviewers has been extraordinary. I remember feeling like I was going to throw up at first because my words were out there for everyone to read. I would check the number of books that had sold every two minutes and examine my changing ranking on Amazon. I’ve since realized this journey I’m on is a marathon and not a sprint. I intend to write many books and create a whole big body of work. I have new writing goals and dreams and I can’t wait to tackle each one.

Happy six month birthday Tripped Up Love! I can’t wait to see what the next six months bring…

Congrats on your six month anniversary! Oh, and I’m a horoscope junkie, too! =) Nothing wrong with that!
