I heart winter

I know what you’re going to say…I know I’m writing these words from the comfort of my home not having shoveled snow for hours. It was 53 degrees here today and I’m not dealing with snow pants, searching for matching mittens or snow boots that fit. But I miss snow.

I’m currently obsessed with winter and I just saw this image on Pinterest and it made me want to pack my bag and drive up to New England only stopping to pick up a pair of snowshoes on the way.b85a7f9eff3a017d81afd84557da9786
Maybe I just like roaring fires, turtlenecks, and fleece-lined boots but I’m jealous of my Northern friends. Yeah, yeah, yeah…the grass is always greener. And I’m not traipsing around in all of that mess. But I like the power the snow has to silence the earth. I like the glow of the moonbeams on the freshly fallen flakes. I like the glittering drops that land on my lashes. I’m a Northern girl turned Southerner pining for a real winter. Please Mother Nature, grant my wish.

Gorgeous picture. I’m with you. Should pack and take a dog sled up there, since it’s not likely were’re going to be able to fly.
