Day of Lo-o-o-o-ve

When I was growing up in Lynbrook, NY in the 70’s, Valentine’s Day was not a big deal.  My parents didn’t celebrate the day with each other because they were divorced.  I sort of remember decorating shoe boxes and making cards but the cards didn’t have candy or toys attached to them.
